The Service Committee Donation Drive

The StuELT Service Committee put together a donation drive in aid of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children.
They asked students to 'earn their donation' by agreeing with their parents on actions that can be taken at home, or in their community, that would warrant their parents making a donation. They were encouraged to take action and build some meaning and value behind the donation.
Donations were no more than AED50. All proceeds were used to develop hampers of items that were appropriate to the needs of the foundation. Head of the Service Committee, Kiana Heidary went to the foundation and received a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of GIS.
