Sharon Rashidi

Sharon is from Canada and holds a Master of Teaching degree from the University of Toronto. She brings three years of teaching experience to her role, including teaching English in Thailand and working in an American school in Dubai. Currently, she is in her second year as an IB teacher at GIS. Sharon's teaching philosophy centers on the inquiry cycle, emphasizing the importance of student action and leadership. She envisions her students as leaders who inspire change, both in the present and in the future. Sharon is committed to nurturing student agency and understands the vital role of social and emotional development in supporting academic progress. Last academic year, she enjoyed overseeing the Master Chef extracurricular activity. Outside of work, Sharon values spending time with friends, outdoor activities, and exploring new dining experiences.
