Georgina Rushe

Grade 1 Leader

Georgina is from Galway, Ireland and has been teaching at GIS for one year. She holds a degree in Speech and Language Therapy and a Masters in Primary Teaching. She has experience working in Ireland and in international schools in the Netherlands. Georgina belives that learning should be inquiry and play based, setting high expectations and differentiating learning experiences for children's different abilities and interests. She encourages children to use their full linguistic repertoire to maximize their learning potential, engagement and language development. Ms Georgina recognises the importance of student agency, well-being and ambitious thinking in developing successful IB learners. She enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends and cooking.
