Ms. Maria is from Lisbon, Portugal and has been living in the UAE for the past 8 years. She has been teaching at GIS since last year. Ms. Maria believes that early years education are extremely important for a successful education journey. She is an inquiry-oriented teacher, fostering a safe, inquisitive and fun environment in the classroom. Ms. Maria prioritizes well-being, social skills, independence, and academic excellence. Through hands-on activities, she sparks curiosity, critical thinking and creativity. Beyond teaching, Ms. Maria loves being with her family. She values quality time with family and friends, enjoys outdoors, cycling and reading.
